de Lumine: a thousand branches

Though a thousand branches join their screen,
yet the broken sunbeams glance between...

and tint the leaves with brighter green, with brighter tints the flowers . . . Is this a scan from a negative, or from the digital camera?

This is from the digital camera on black-and-white mode. Which is ironic, because even after all those b&w shots with the SLR, this is probably the best picture I took that day.
